Schedule

Friday 2 June 2006

Had a great day in Gloucester.  Welcomed by the Town Cryer, who hold Britains title of "Loudest Town Cryer".  Have been treated like royalty.  Most of the band went on a visit to the 800 year old cathedral and were given a tour.  Burial place of the composer of the USA national anthem (music).  The Bandmaster and Corps Officer were received by the Mayor who also attended the evening program, along with the Sherriff - an ancient title that has nothing to do with law enforcement!  The hall was packed for the exciting program of music.  The band outdid itself!  A great reception.

Have now left for the Royal Albert Hall, a two hour ride.
